At Wellness Pathways CIC, we are excited to announce our upcoming Heart Failure Classes, specially designed to support individuals living with heart failure in managing their condition and improving their quality of life.

Living with heart failure can be challenging, but with the right guidance and support, you can take control of your health and live life to the fullest. Our heart failure classes will provide a safe, structured environment where you can engage in physical activity tailored to your unique needs, under the supervision of trained professionals who understand the complexities of heart failure.

Specialised Exercise Programs: Our classes focus on safe, low-impact exercises designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthen muscles, and boost energy levels without putting unnecessary strain on your heart.

Expert Guidance: You will be supported by qualified instructors experienced in cardiac rehabilitation and heart failure management, ensuring that your exercise plan is safe, effective, and personalised to your current health status.

Comprehensive Health Education: In addition to exercise, our classes will include educational components that cover important topics like nutrition, managing symptoms, medication adherence, and lifestyle changes to help you better understand and manage your condition.

Supportive Community: You'll be part of a supportive group of people who are on a similar journey, providing encouragement and fostering a sense of community as you work towards your health goals

wHO cAN BENEFIT ?

Our heart failure classes are designed to support individuals living with heart failure in improving their physical health, managing symptoms, and enhancing their quality of life. These classes are specifically beneficial for heart failure patients who are looking to stay active, build strength, and receive ongoing guidance from qualified professionals.

Stable Heart Failure (NYHA Class I, II, or stable Class III), meaning your symptoms are under control with medication and you are under regular medical supervision.

  1. Ejection Fraction ≤ 40%, for individuals diagnosed with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).

  2. Patients who have been referred by a healthcare professional following an assessment of clinical stability and suitability for cardiac rehabilitation.

  3. Individuals who have completed Phase III cardiac rehabilitation and are looking for ongoing support and structured exercise in a community setting.

  4. Post-hospitalisation for heart failure, ensuring that at least six weeks have passed since discharge, with clearance from your cardiologist or healthcare provider to participate in structured physical activity.

  5. Patients who can independently mobilise and perform basic daily activities without excessive fatigue, breathlessness, or dizziness.

  6. Those seeking to manage symptoms such as fatigue, breathlessness, and reduced stamina in a safe and guided setting.
